Mobile beast: ASUS Rog Phone 9 Pro comes with brutally strong hardware and ‘two’ screens

ASUS’s gaming brand Republic of Gamers (ROG) has recently launched a generation of premium gaming phones – the ROG Phone 9 series. With two models, ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro, the series brings top performance, gaming-oriented design and a rich package of features that set new standards in mobile gaming.

The ROG Phone 9 series stands out with its futuristic design and advanced customization features. The Pro model comes with an AniMe Vision mini-LED screen with 648 programmable light-emitting diodes that enable customized animations and classic arcade games through the new AniMe Play feature. The Pro has that many, while the Phone 9 has 85 diodes.

The new series uses the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor in combination with the advanced GameCool 9 cooling system, ensuring maximum performance. Exclusive features like X Sense 3.0 and X Capture 2.0 use artificial intelligence to recognize key moments in games, automatically record wins and manage characters. The phone comes with 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB or 24 GB/1 TB memory, and the battery capacity is 5800 mAh in 65W charging. Relatively speaking, the weaker ROG Phone 9 will not only be offered with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of memory.

The controls on the ROG Phone 9 series provide the feeling of playing on a console. The AirTrigger system offers advanced gestures such as double-tap and gyroscope targeting. With additional equipment such as the AeroActive Cooler X Pro cooling system with physical buttons and the ROG Tessen controller, the phone can be transformed into a real portable gaming system.

Both models are equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2500 nits, ideal for gaming and multimedia. There’s an advanced sound system with a front-firing option and an integrated subwoofer for added depth.

For photography and recording enthusiasts, the ROG Phone 9 series offers a triple camera system with a 50 MP main sensor and an advanced six-axis image stabilizer. There is also a 13 mpx wide-angle camera and a 32 mpx telephoto camera with 3x magnification. The front camera has a 32 mpx sensor. The ROG Phone 9 has the same main camera, but a 13 mpx wide-angle and a 5 mpx macro camera.

The Rog Phone 9 Pro should cost 1,349 euros (16/512 GB) or 1,549 (24G/1TB).
