ANGI 2024 Oscars honor ceremony, a meeting with the future of innovation

Rome is preparing to welcome the 7th Edition of the ANGI National Award – Oscar of Innovation, which will be held on 4 December 2024 at the historic Sala del Tempio di Vibia Sabina e Adriano, in the Chamber of Commerce. The event, organized by the National Association of Young Innovators, will see the awarding of over 30 prizes, with the participation of more than 15 startups and numerous opinion leaders from the world of institutions, business and research, protagonists of the ceremony. The day will be inaugurated by the institutional opening by Gabriele Ferrieri, ANGI President, who declared: “It will be an extraordinary event, among the most important for the world of Italian institutions and
European countries, businesses and digital opinion leaders. The event will give
highlight Italian genius, Made in Italy and will make its voice heard ever louder
of young innovators, who represent fundamental pillars for the
economic and social progress of our country.

The event will be moderated by Paolo Petrecca, Director of RaiNews24, and Ylenia Totino, television presenter, who will accompany the public through a rich agenda of interventions. The morning will open with high-profile institutional interventions: the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, the Minister of Education, Giuseppe Valditara, and the Undersecretary Alessandro Morelli, who will offer contributions on economic and social policies in support of innovation. Among the participants, we also note Carlo Corazza, Director of the European Parliament Offices in Italy, and a video message from the Minister of the Environment, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.

Subsequently, the VII ANGI Ricerche Observatory, created in collaboration with Lab21.01, will be presented. Roberto Baldassari, Director of the ANGI Scientific Committee, and Adelina Chiara Balsamo, Partner of Lab21.01, will illustrate the main results of the research, highlighting the prospects for innovation in Italy. Among the data collected, the main difficulties faced by young people in accessing the world of innovation emerge.

The morning will continue with two thematic sessions. The first, dedicated to the Innovation Institutional Awards, will focus on investments, security and development of the country system. Speakers will include, among others, Mauro Battocchi, Director General for the Promotion of the Country System of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lorenzo Galanti, Director General of ICE, Bruno Frattasi, Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency, Alessandro Moricca, Sole Director of PagoPA, Alfredo Becchetti, President of Infratel, and Francesco Profumo, President of Isybank.

The second session, focused on entrepreneurship, training and digital, will see important speeches, including those from the Rector of Bocconi University, Francesco Billari, the journalist expert in innovation, Riccardo Luna, and Benedetto Delle Site, President of UCID Giovani. A significant moment will also be the participation of Cardinal Angelo Comastri, Archpriest emeritus of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, who will discuss issues related to the 2025 Jubilee. Paolo Benanti, President of the AI ​​Commission for Information of the Presidency of the Council, will also speak , member of the New Artificial Intelligence Advisory Board of the United Nations and Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University, and Fra Giulio Cesareo, Director of the Communications Office of the Sacred Convent of Assisi.
