iFixit has started selling original parts of Xbox consoles, so that users will be able to choose to repair their devices Xbox Series X o S along with the official guides with all the necessary steps.
Specifically, the repair company has added various parts to its catalog for the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series WiFi card the power supply o to base plate. It even has parts to replace the ‘joystick’ of the X and S console controls.
This was stated by iFixit’s sustainability director, Elizabeth Chamberlain, in statements to The Verge, in which she indicated that they have begun to work with Microsoft to promote the repair of their consoles and that, in this way, “the Xbox last longer and don’t end up in the trash.”
In this sense, Chamberlain has detailed that, in the same way that they began collaborating with Microsoft to sell parts for Surface laptops last year, helping users to repair their computers and tablets, “it is incredible to be able to offer owners of Xbox the same opportunity.”
With all this, iFixit also offers on its website the tool kit for Xbox console repairs 19,95 euros, and the prices of the different parts are around 30 euros for, for example, the Xbox Series X WiFi board, or 56 euros for the power supply, in the case of the Xbox Series S.
