Emergency landing disaster in Austria: A Swiss Airlines flight attendant who was seriously injured during an in-flight emergency has died after fighting for his life in intensive care. The incident occurred on December 23 during flight LX1885 from Bucharest to Zurich, which had 74 passengers.

During the flight, the crew encountered engine problems and smoke that burst into the cockpit and passenger cabin. In view of the situation, a decision was made to make an emergency landing at the airport in Graz, Austria.

Swiss Airlines expressed its condolences to the flight attendant’s family and friends. “This is a painful and rare event,” the company said in a statement. “We are working in full cooperation with the authorities to understand the reasons for the incident and to ensure that such cases do not occur in the future.”

Passengers who were on the plane shared their feelings from the dramatic moments. “When the smoke started to fill the cabin, there was an atmosphere of stress and fear,” said one of the passengers. “But the team behaved with extraordinary professionalism, and that’s what saved us.”
