The Ministry of Science and Technology implements the NetZero program in the Southeast region

At the program implementation workshop for the Southeast Region held on December 28 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat said that this is a national science and technology program (KC). .16/24-30) to serve the goal of achieving net zero emissions in Vietnam. This program will go hand in hand with other programs, promoting scientific and technological solutions towards green technology. KC.16/24-30 is implemented in the context of Vietnam’s commitment to implementing the net zero emissions target (NetZero) by 2050.

The Minister hopes that the Program will be well received by the business community, research institutes, universities, experts, and scientists in the Southeast Region. Since then, there have been many research proposals to find effective and practical solutions to successfully implement the program.

The program sets three main goals. The firstencourage research that provides scientific and practical basis to propose improvements in policies, standards, and solutions to improve State management efficiency with the goal of achieving net zero emissions in Vietnam.

Mondayresearch aims to propose models and solutions for green, circular, low-carbon economic development; coordinate with international organizations and Vietnamese scientists abroad to propose technological solutions and improve the quality of human resources in this field.

At the conference, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh called on agencies and functional units, along with scientists, experts and businesses in the Southeast region to soon propose the implementation of scientific and technological tasks. technology serving the Net Zero goal. He also noted that the presiding units should clearly define the roadmap, resources and implementation methods so that research results can quickly be put into practice.
