Intel Core Ultra Series 2, the new chips that improve artificial intelligence processing

Intel has announced its new Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2), which include improvements in processing of Artificial intelligence (AI), as well as greater efficiency and performance improvements for laptops and desktop PCs.

The technology company has expanded its series of Ultra 200 processors with the new Intel Core Ultra 200HX, H, U and S models, with which it ensures high efficiency in AI tasks and intends to offer different options to users based on their needs, since whether for companies, creators or ‘gamers’.

Specifically, Intel has introduced its new Core Ultra 200XH mobile laptop processors and its H-series models, which are designed for “gaming creators and enthusiasts” by offering high performance and efficiency, as well as offering players an immersive experience powered by AI.

These processors codenamed Arrow Lake are equipped with up to 24 cores, eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, for the HX series, complete with a 13 TOPS NPU. Likewise, the H series has a total of 16 cores, six for performance, eight for efficiency and two low-power cores, as shared in a statement on its blog.

Specifically, the 200H series features Intel Arc graphics with up to 8 Intel X cores, as well as Intel Thus, these processors offer a power of up to 99 TOPS when using the GPU, CPU and NPU.

For its part, Intel has indicated that the new 200XH have up to 48 PCIe lanes in total to facilitate the connection. They also offer gamers and professionals enough computing power to achieve up to 41 percent better multithreading (MT) performance compared to the previous generation of the XH series.

Following this line, they will allow users to custom adjust characteristics such as power, voltage and other details to improve their experience.

Intel Core Ultra 200U y 200S

On the other hand, the company has also launched its Intel Core Ultra 200U series mobile processors, which include up to two performance cores and eight efficiency cores, accompanied by Intel X LPG graphics and up to 24 platform TOPS.

As noted by Intel, the Core Ultra 200U model is a processor that seeks to offer users “an excellent balance between performance, energy efficiency and price.”

Intel has also introduced its new Core Ultra 200S processors for desktop computers, which are equipped with up to 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, and which include 12 new 65 and 35 watt models.

All in all, as Intel co-CEO and CEO of Intel Products Michelle Johnston said, the new processors are setting “new benchmarks” for mobile AI and graphics, demonstrating “the performance and superior efficiency of the x86″ architecture.

Intel Core Ultra 200H and U processors will be available starting in February 2025. Systems with the Intel Core Ultra 200HX series will be available in the first half of 2025. Regarding Intel series desktop processors Core Ultra 200S 65 and 35 watts will be available starting January 13, 2025.
