EA Sports FC 25 celebrates the team of the year with a tribute to Zinedine Zidane

The award celebrates in particular the memorable final against Bayer Leverkusen, in which Zidane scored one of the most iconic goals in the history of the competition, a left-footed volley from a Roberto Carlos cross that sealed Real Madrid’s victory

EA Sports FC has announced a special initiative to celebrate the arrival of the Team of the Year (TOTY) teams in FC 25. All players who log in to the game between January 17, 2025 (7pm) and February 14, 2025 will receive a Zinedine Zidane TOTY 2002 ICON non-tradeable player item with an overall rating of 90. This tribute is intended to commemorate the unforgettable season 2002, the year in which Zidane won the Champions League on his debut with the Real Madrid shirt. The award celebrates in particular the memorable final against Bayer Leverkusen, in which Zidane scored one of the most iconic goals in the history of the competition, a left-footed volley from a Roberto Carlos cross that sealed Real Madrid’s victory. Qualified members of the FC 25 Club will have access to an additional exclusive: an Evolution that will allow them to upgrade Zidane’s player item to an overall rating of 94.

Among the few fan-voted awards in the world of football, the TOTY offers fans the opportunity to make the final squad and celebrate the brightest stars in global football. Forwards will be available in EA Sports FC 25 starting tomorrow, January 17th, followed by midfielders on January 19th and defenders/goalkeepers on January 21st. The complete TOTY rosters will be added to Football Ultimate Team’s accessible roster from January 23-31, while Honorable Mentions, Twelfth Man, and Twelfth Woman will be available on January 24. For EA Sports FC Mobile players, the men’s TOTY roster will be available in-game starting January 21, coinciding with the start of an event featuring three TOTY Chapters, special TOTY ICONS and a dedicated TOTY Star Pass.
