The Galaxy S25 Ultra seeks to maintain leadership in AI and will be sold at S/ 6,199

Samsung presented its most advanced family of equipment on Wednesday cell phones: the Galaxy S25. The company, as we are accustomed to, is once again betting on three models that integrate the brand’s best technology: the S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra. Maintaining the course it followed last year when introducing Galaxy AI, the new designs arrive loaded with artificial intelligence functions, which bring improvements over its predecessor.

With that objective in mind, the South Korean firm’s main bet has been to renew its chipset with one capable of more easily supporting the processes generated by AI, in such a way that they can be executed natively not only in the cloud, but also at the local level. In that sense, the S25 Ultra arrives with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s most advanced, in a customized version exclusively for this phone. This new part represents a performance increase of 40% on NPU, 37% on CPU and 30% on GPU compared to the previous version.

Advanced AI at your fingertips

The processor allows the software to take full advantage. This is how One UI 7, Samsung’s customization layer, tries to provide the user with an experience focused on artificial intelligence.

Los AI agents with multimodal capabilities Included in the equipment allow you to interpret text, voice, images and videos so that interactions are natural, according to the company. Thus, updates to Google’s ‘Circle To Search’ (launched on the S24) make searches on the phone screen faster and more contextual. ‘Circle To Search’ now quickly recognizes phone numbers, emails and URLs on the screen, allowing you to call, send an email or visit a website with a single touch.

Galaxy S25 has taken a step forward in the natural language understanding facilitating everyday interactions. For example, we can simply ask and intuitively find a specific photo in Samsung Gallery or adjust the size of screen fonts in Settings.

On the other hand, just press and hold the side button to activate Gemini and perform seamless interaction through Samsung and Google applications, as well as third-party applications such as Spotify. For example, search for the season schedule of our favorite sports team and add it to Samsung Calendar with a single command.

What other things can we do with Galaxy AI? Automatically transcribe calls with ‘Live Translate’ or even summarize them. With the Chat Assistant it is possible to summarize content or format our notes. And thanks to the drawing assistant, it is possible to create images from texts, sketches or photos.

An interesting section is security: the Galaxy S25 also includes post-quantum cryptography to safeguard personal data against emerging threats, which could increase as quantum computing evolves, a topic that will become increasingly relevant.

Curved design and recycled material

If we talk about design, we see a thin phone with a rounded edge for a comfortable grip, which complements the aesthetic identity of the series, which always saw curves as a symbol of exclusivity.

In the case of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it has titanium and the new Corning Gorilla Armor 2, a more durable material than glass. It combines Corning ceramic glass with an anti-reflective surface treatment, helping to ensure advanced protection against drops and scratches.

In addition, according to the firm, the external components of the Galaxy S25+ and S25 now include at least one recycled material, since its metal structure incorporates recycled armored aluminum for the first time.

Cameras: renewed ultra wide angle

One of the most requested improvements from Samsung has been the improvement of its wide angle. This year they have done it. The S25 Ultra includes a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensor, making a considerable jump from the 12 MP of the previous model.

In this way, the complete camera module is distributed as follows:

50 MP telephoto camera (5-magnification optical zoom, OIS F3.4, FOV 22˚).

On the other hand, we find Nightography Video, with which low-light videos obtain better results. The Galaxy S25 analyzes motion and time to reduce noise more effectively. This integration allows both moving and static objects to be detected with greater precision, ensuring sharper, cleaner images in any scenario.

The AI ​​could not be left out of the photography module. The Galaxy S25 family includes tools usually found in external apps, but now natively integrated.

For example, we see the AI ​​Audio Editor, which makes it easy to remove unwanted noise in videos by isolating categories of sounds such as voices, music, wind, nature, crowds, and noise in general.

To enjoy a DSLR-like experience on your mobile, Galaxy S25 incorporates depth of field control with Virtual Aperture, integrated into the popular Expert RAW. Galaxy S25 also elevates cinematic creativity with Galaxy Log, which enables precise color grading options for more professional video production.

Finally, the AI ​​Portrait Pro feature has also been improved, allowing users to create custom avatars with more realistic facial expressions. Additionally, Filters introduces new analog-style filters that offer a film-like aesthetic for photos and videos.

According to Samsung Peru, The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be sold from 6,199 soles, the S25+ at 5,299 soles and the regular S25 at 4,549 soles, although due to launch from the brand’s virtual store there are promotions. The phones can now be purchased in pre-sale and picked up starting February 10.
