Sony Interactive Entertainment announces changes in leadership

Sony Interactive Entertainment (Sie) has announced a series of changes in his leadership, effective starting from 1 April 2025. Hideaki Nisino will take on the role of president and CEO, happening to Jim Ryan. Nishino, previously CEO of Platform Business Group, will keep this assignment and he will report Hermen Hulst, a CEO of Studio Business Group. “I am honored to take the guide of Sie,” Nisino said. “Technology and creativity are our strengths, while we continue to focus on the development of entertainment experiences for everyone. We will expand the Community Playstation in new ways, such as the expansion of intellectual property, and we will offer the best technological innovations”.

The changes are part of a wider reorganization of the Leadership of Sony Group Corporation. Hiroki Totoki, current president and COO of Sony Group, will leave the role of President of Sie to become President and CEO of Sony Group, succeeding Kenichiro Yoshida, who will take on the position of President of the Board of Directors. Lin Tao, currently Senior Vice President Finance of Sie, will become CFO of Sony Group. Tao’s successor in Sie will be announced soon. Totoki has expressed confidence in Sie’s new leadership team, underlining the company’s commitment to promote creativity and create significant connections for millions of players. Yoshida highlighted Totoki’s contribution to Sony’s growth and her ability to shape the group’s vision and strategy of the group.
