María Belén Ortiz, promoter of health technologies

When María Belén Ortiz began her engineering career, she not only faced the challenges of a complex discipline, but also an environment where women are a minority. However, his curiosity and determination allowed him to specialize in the integration of management systems to facilitate the implementation of technological solutions in organizations.

During his career, he designed a privacy management system and user satisfaction to facilitate the implementation of a monitoring tool based on the internet of things for a Canadian hospital. He also advised young researchers in Lima to improve the flow of emergencies, using optimization and quality management tools.

Ruth Canahuire, innovative in robotic surgery

Ruth is a scientific passionate specialist in the control of mechatronic systems and medical robotics. Within his experience he has led and collaborated in research projects with renowned institutions such as Purdue University, Mit, Unicamp and The University of Liverpool. One of his most emblematic works was “The prototype of the Robotics Surgery Station”, a two -arms robot that supports surgical interventions so that doctors can direct an operation from anywhere in the world.

Alessandra Meza, Industries Transformer

Since he started his career in Mechatronics Engineering, Alessandra Meza has explored how robotics and automation can solve problems in different fields. In his experience as a student, he designed a robotic arm for the monitoring of hydroelectric plants and demonstrated his ability to create innovative solutions that combine mechanics, electronics and artificial intelligence.

Her passion for technology led her to specialize even more, obtaining a master’s degree in energy, where she has focused her knowledge in the improvement of processes in the electrical sector and the development of renewable energy projects. For Alessandra, mechatronics is not only automation, but a key tool for the transformation of the energy industry and the sustainable development of the country.

Evely Blas, a scientist against cancer

Promoted by her passion for science and her desire to transform the health system, Evely Blas, a bioengineering student in UTEC, she works on the development of a hydrodynamic multi -athota approach device to separate circulating tumor cells, a technology with the potential to improve Early diagnosis and cancer monitoring in a more precise and less invasive way.

Its goal is to strengthen scientific research in Peru and ensure that technologies developed in the country are implemented in hospitals and clinics, making the more efficient and accessible health system. He also considers that it is a core to have more women in the scientific field to transform the future.
