SpaceX missiles set a record of reusing 26 times

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 missile carries 21 Starlink satellites on orbit during the 26th flight to set a record for reuse missiles.

The first floor of Falcon 9 Fire launched on February 15, from the Cape Canaveral Space Station, Florida, at 13h14 on February 15 (Hanoi time). In these 26 flights, 15 trips used to bring Internet Starlink satellites into space. The old record was 25 reuse, established by the Falcon 9 rocket floor on January 10 and also a Starlink mission.

On February 15, the rocket layer returned to the Earth as planned, landing on the landing platform in the Atlantic about 8 minutes after launching. The first trajectory missile completed the 26th launch and landing, “SpaceX wrote on social network X.

The upper floor of this missile has brought 21 Starlink satellites, of which 13 satellites are able to connect directly with mobile phones, into the Earth’s orbit low about 65 minutes after launching. This is the 20th launch of the Falcon 9 rocket line this year, and is the 14th time for the construction of the Starlink broadband satellite network. Starlink is the largest satellite network ever established, currently including nearly 7,000 active satellites.

Falcon 9 is a partially reusable two -storey missile, in which the first push is designed to fly 10 times without overhaul. If repaired periodically, the vehicle can even reuse up to 100 times, helping to significantly save time and costs for spatial tasks.

SpaceX has a successful 2024 year and is looking forward to many other records in 2025. Elon Musk’s company has carried out 138 launches last year, including 134 launches with Falcon missiles. 134 this flight accounts for more than half of the total number of launches worldwide.
