The figure of Zanni, mask of ancient origins, acts as a catalyst of the curse, shaping other iconic masks of Italian folklore such as Arlecchino (Bergamo) and Pulcinella (Campania). These figures, well known for their peculiar characteristics in the context of the comedy of art, are reinterpreted within the game universe. The reference to the Italian tradition continues with the presence of further masks, including Pantalone (Venice), Moretta (Venice), Balanzone (Bologna), Colombina (Venice) and Captain Spaventa (Liguria). Each of these figures helps to outline a complex and stratified cultural framework, offering a videogame reinterpretation of elements of the Italian heritage.

The gameplay of “Enotria: The Last Song” is based on the classic souls-like combat system, with a wide variety of weapons (over 120) and classes (8) to choose from. The player, in the role of a mask -free character, has the task of defeating the “authors”, entities responsible for the canvas, to free the world from their influence. The masks of defeated opponents can be acquired, giving the player new skills. Enotria: The Last Song is therefore configured as a videogame product which, although inspired by an internationally consolidated genre, stands out for its strong Italian cultural identity. The game is available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | s. The developer, Jyamma Games, announced the arrival of news during the month of March. The player remains the task of determining the fate of Enotria and becoming the mask of change.
