The Pokémon Day 2025 has scored an unprecedented surge in the interest for the Pokémon on Ebay, driven by the announcement of the “Eevee year” and the launch of the “Prismatic Evolution” set. The searches for “Pokémon” have exceeded 22,000 per hour, the highest peak since the beginning of 2023, confirming the global passion for these iconic characters.
Attention has focused in particular on Eevee and its evolutions, with an increase in 245% research compared to January 2024reaching almost 1,000 searches per hour. Among the Eeveeluons, Umbreon recorded the greatest growth, with an increase of 500% in research compared to the previous year, thanks to the presence of a rare holographic paper in the “Prismatic Evolutions” set. The success of Umbreon Vmax also continues, the chase chart of the “Evaving Skies” set, with an increase in searches of 280% compared to January 2024.
Evaving Shop: a unique opportunity for collectors
On the occasion of the Pokémon Day, Ebay launched “Evaving Shop”, a temporary online shop dedicated to Eevee and its evolutionswith collectible cards and rare merchandise. The shop, available on ebay.com, offers auctions starting from 9 cents and new objects added every day from 25 to 27 February, offering collectors a unique opportunity to enrich their collections.
The Pokémon dominate the Collectibles category also on Ebay in Italy, confirming a passion of different generations, with over 3 million items on the platform.
