Nintendo switch 2 exposed: faster, more connected and ready for amiibo

Nintendo officially confirmed his new Switch 2 console in January, when he announced that he will have some changes in the design, such as a larger screen, a handle on the back to facilitate the inclination, an additional USB-C port and new volume and ignition buttons. Likewise, the Japanese company also said that the new console would reach the market this year, although it did not detail a specific date.

Now, new documents submitted to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States, have announced that, in addition to the news mentioned above, the Nintendo Switch 2 will also have compatibility for NFC and WIFI 6 connection.

Specifically, as these documents point out, collected by The Verge, the company refers to the console with the name in Code Bee-001, and the Joy-Con, with the name BEE-012 for the right command and with the name BEE-014 for the left command.

Thus, some technical data are specified such as the new ‘hardware’ will also be compatible with NFC connection, and that will have the sensor for the radio frequency identification function (RFID) in the Joy-Con Law control.

In this way, Nintendo Switch 2 can also be compatible with Amiibo figures, which use NFC technology to unlock content of wireless video games.

Following this line, in terms of the Wi -Fi connection that the console will admit, it will be compatible with Wifi 6, which will reach up to 80 MHz of bandwidth, instead of the Wi -Fi 5 connection that supports the original switch, guaranteeing a faster connection speed.

In addition to all this, the FCC documents also confirm that the Integrated Additional USB-C port may also be used to load the console. Although it is not specified if it will offer a higher load speed or remain as the current one.
