Google Workspace incorporates new functions in Spanish for presentations and meet

Google Workspace has announced an extension of its functions assisted by AI in Spanish, so that Gemini will offer support in this language both in the side panel of presentations and in the function ‘Take notes for me’ of Meet.

The technology company stressed that the extension puts in the hands of Spanish companies and users improved productivity tools, which help create more fluid content and manage meetings with a greater degree of efficiency.

Gemini can work fluently in Spanish from the Google side panel presentations. In this way, users can generate high quality images and insert them directly into their slides, summarize complex information and develop ideas.

With this integration, they can also create new slides by capitalizing information from other documents, or data present in Workspace, as the company has reported in a press release.

For its part, the ‘taking notes for me’ of Google Meet, which during meetings is responsible for generating a summary with links to the exact points of the transcription, is also available in Spanish.

Google Cloud has not only expanded these workpace functions to Spanish, but also to other languages such as French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Italian. As explained from the company, the objective is that teams can work more efficiently in their favorite language, with a greater degree of collaboration and productivity.

This update comes days after Google Cloud also announced Gemini’s expansion for Google Workspace to Catalan, as well as other new languages such as Greek, Indonesian and Malay.
