The mission of Space X in charge of bringing back American astronauts stranded reaches the US

The Space X mission in charge of taking back home to the two American astronauts who were trapped at the International Space Station (EEI) last June has reached the space post early this Sunday.

“Confirmed coupling!”, The company said in a publication in its account in the social network X, in which the time of the transmission of the coupling operation is reflected.

The ship in question, a ‘Falcon 9’ of Space X that put the Dragon ship into orbit, was put into orbit this Friday night, and coupled to the EEI EMA at 0.04 hours (local time), according to the information of NASA and Space X.

On board the mission the NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, to the astronaut of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency Takuya Onishi and the Cosmonaut de Roscosmos Kirill Peskov.

“It is planned to bring American astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams back to the earth, along with the Roscosmos Cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. According to NASA, the capsule will start from the EEI as very soon on March 19.

In this transition, the newly arrived crew is expected to become familiar with the maintenance and science work of the station in order to transition operations aboard the orbital complex.

On March 4, Williams and Wilmore, along with his partner Hague, participated in a press conference in which Williams stressed that they have not felt abandoned by NASA. For his part, Wilmore said that the need for additional supplies due to the extension of his mission does not represent an inconvenience, since they have taken advantage of the supplies that led to the station during their mission.

Both arrived at the Space Station in early June in the first tripled test flight of the Boeing Starliner ship, with the initial forecast to remain in space just a week. However, a succession of several technical problems with the ship caused them to be stranded in the EEI, where they continue.
