The shirt worn by Bluesky CEO to trial Zuckerberg

Bluesky against Meta, new chapter. This week, Jay Graber CEO of Bluesky, attracted the attention of the Tech world to get on the stage of Austin’s Sxsw with a oversized black shirt. But, as Mashable explains, it was not a simple t-shirt: the phrase in Latin was printed on the shirt “The world without Caesars”which means “a world without cesari”. A clear reference – and probably a storage – a Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta and Founder of Facebook, which last year had worn a similar shirt with another Latin quote inspired by a Roman emperor.

Graber’s shirt quickly conquered Bluesky users, who have continuously posted it in the last few days. So, Thursday afternoon, Bluesky decided to put it on sale at 40 dollars on the WorldwithoutCaesars.com website, allocating all the proceeds to the AT protocol, the open standard on which the whole social network is held. The success was immediate: The shirt went out in just 30 minutes, As confirmed by Emily Liu, head of the special Bluesky projects.

The design of the Graber t-shirt was almost identical to the one sported by Zuckerberg during the Meta Connect 2024. Same typographic character, but with a completely opposite message. The original Facebook founder shirt reported the phrase “Aut Zuck Aut Nihil” (“Zuck or Nothing”), a reinterpretation of the Latin expression “Aut Caesar Aut Nihil” (O Cesare or Nothing “). Zuckerberg, in fact, is known for his fascination for the emperor Augustus and, in general, for the Roman emperors and their way of telling each other. According to what Mashable reports, Bluesky has not yet decided whether to supply the warehouse with other shirts. “We will update this story if the sale of another stock will be announced,” said Liu.

During his speech at the SXSW, Graber reiterated the value of open source and decentralized open -sized platforms as Bluesky, launching a clear message against the domination of the great Tech managers. “If a billionaire tries to ruin everything, Bluesky users could simply leave, without losing their identity or their data,” said Graber. Launched in 2023 as an invitation platform, Bluesky has rapidly grown as an alternative to X of Elon Musk. In March 2025 he already had over 32 million users.
