A moon -landing module, owned by an American company, captured disturbing images in high definition of a lunar sunset, which would help the NASA To solve the mystery of a strange mist sighting on the moon for the first time in the 1960s.
Firefly Aerospace, based in Texas, published the images on Tuesday after becoming this month in the first private company to alunize a robotic ship in vertical position.

Its Blue Ghost module touched the lunar surface in Mons Latreille, a volcanic formation inside the Mare Crisium in the northeast visible face of the moon, and operated until March 16.
One of the new images shows the solar green halo shining on the horizon, and Venus as a little point, while the earth looks almost as great as the sun that the earthlings see.
“We are spending time for specialized scientists to review all the images,” said Joel Kearns, an attached associate administrator for the exploration of the NASA scientific missions address.
Among what they are looking for is the so -called “horizon glow”, a phenomenon that would allow lunar powder particles to be electrically charged by ultraviolet radiation of the sun, and then float on the surface.
“The images are beautiful, they are really beautiful,” Kearns celebrated.
The phenomenon was first detected by NASA’s South Surveyor probes in the 1960s and then observed by Apollo astronauts.
The level of detail of the images could help scientists refine existing models that explain how light is dispersed on the lunar surface.
