Microsoft is testing a new interface for its assistant with artificial intelligence which looks a lot like that of Chatgpt, including a fixed side panel for the history of conversations and buttons with functions similar to those of the popular OpenAi chatbot.
In this new version, Chats’s history ceases to be an emerging window to take a permanent space on the left side of the screen. This is a decision that, according to Microsoft internal data, responds to user behavior, who prefer to easily alternate between past and new conversations without losing context.

Same panel, same icons
The captures leaked by Windows Latest show that Copilot is adopting even the same icons that use chatgpt For functions such as “Expand”, start a new conversation or contract the side panel to gain space.
This redesign resembles a more orderly and functional version of what we already saw in September 2024, when Microsoft redesigned co -pilot inspired by the style of the Pi AI app, created by Mustafa Suleyman, now Chief of Microsoft AI.
In addition, the “Discover” button is maintained, which allows access to outstanding functions, such as exploring recipes, consulting of heritage or listening to the daily news summary generated by AI through the co -driver’s podcast.

Another important change is the arrival of two interaction modes: Fast and think deeper.
• Fast responds in just 2 or 3 seconds and is designed for simple questions or daily tasks.
• Thinking about deep, on the other hand, takes up to 30 seconds, but offers more elaborate responses and is ideal for complex tasks. Unlike Chatgpt’s payment plans, this mode has no daily use limits.
