Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong wishes to expand cooperation with the Czech Republic in the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and quantum technology.
On March 28, in the Czech Republic, Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly Le Quang Huy and the mission of the Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong, had a meeting with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that Vietnam’s commitment in creating a favorable investment environment for Czech companies, especially in high -tech industries. He also wants to expand cooperation in industry and technology, especially semiconductor technology.

The Czech representative said that the country is implementing the national semiconductor development strategy, which is expected to promote industrial development in the coming years. Semiconductor technology is the foundation for the development of industries such as electronics, telecommunications, cars and defense industry.
The Czech representative also shared experience in developing semiconductor research and production, committed to cooperating with Vietnam to transfer semiconductor technology, especially in the development of new generation semiconductor equipment, serving needs in ICT, cars and other auxiliary industries. Vietnam with the strength of the production of electronic components, it can completely become a strategic partner of Czechism in developing the global supply chain in this field.
In addition to semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum technology are also the central areas that are focused on the two sides. Representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech shared AI and quantum technology will be indispensable technologies in the process of developing key industries of the two countries in the future.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech, as a lead, has implemented a series of research and technology transfer projects to bring AI and quantum technology into practical applications in important industries such as health, transportation and production.
The Czech Government has also pledged to support Vietnam in implementing AI initiatives and quantum technology, whereby the two countries catch up with the trend of global technology development.

The Czech Republic also shared the achievements of cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of information security, mining, automobile production, energy and auxiliary industry. These areas not only help promote Vietnam’s industrial development, but also create opportunities for exchanges and cooperation between businesses of the two countries.
In particular, renewable energy and automobile production are two areas that are paid special attention by the Czechist, with advanced technologies and solutions being applied in many European countries. Czech experts have proposed deploying cooperation projects with Vietnam to develop clean energy technologies and renewable energy -using vehicles, meeting the increasing demand for environmental protection and sustainable development.
In fact, Vietnam is developing policies to support research and application of AI, creating great opportunities for Czech technology companies.
At the meeting, the Vietnamese side invited Czech to organize a new technology business forum in Vietnam, creating opportunities for businesses to meet, exchange and seek cooperation opportunities. The Czech side pledged to send a large business delegation in the field of semiconductors and high -tech industries such as ICT, AI, VR to attend.
In January, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala agreed to upgrade the bilateral relations to strategic partners. In particular, the two unified countries continue to strengthen cooperation with traditional fields including science and technology. Vietnam – Czech will also expand cooperation to areas such as renewable energy, innovation, digital transformation, green economy and circulation, information technology, health care, mining, energy, food security.
