The current week promises to be crucial for the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Direct presentation dedicated to the hybrid console is scheduled for Wednesday 2 April. Although initially the immediate availability of the pre -orders was assumed at the end of the event, new information suggests a possible slip. According to what reported by Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, who claims to have viewed “email and internal documents” from a source of a “great American retailer”, the opening of the pre -orders of the Nintendo Switch 2 would be scheduled for Wednesday 9 April. This date would correspond to an exact week following the Nintendo Direct dedicated to the console.
The same sources would also indicate the presence of an “exclusive collector’s coin” as a bonus for those who will carry out the first orders of Switch 2. This recent indiscretion on pre -ordinations is in contrast with a previous escape of news from Best Buy Canada. The dealer had in fact published a post on his blog, then quickly removed, in which the start of online sales for April 2 was announced. Both dates of 2 and 9 April must be considered as mere speculation, as Nintendo has not issued any official communication on the matter.
