Airbus introduced technologies expected to appear on the new generation aircraft at the Airbus 2025 summit in Toulouse, France, March 24 – 25. With the goal of reducing the impact on the environment, improving operating performance and reducing costs, new aircraft will have many outstanding improvements, including aircraft wings inspired by birds, fuel -saving engine and advanced material technology.

The next generation of Airbus passenger aircraft will have wings like birds: lighter, thinner and longer, helping to create larger lifting force and reduce resistance. Although longer, the new wing model has the ability to fold, allowing the aircraft to easily move in limited space and compatible with the current standard airport ports.

Airbus is also developing a new Rise open propeller engine, which is expected to reduce fuel consumption by 20% compared to the current engine and can run by unsustainable fuel (SAF). In addition to the new engine, Airbus also introduces hybrid technology, in which lithium-ion battery or solid body battery and high voltage system not only create thrust but also helps operate aircraft functions such as air-conditioning systems or lighting lights, thereby reducing fuel consumption.

Another improvement is the material. Airbus wants to switch from carbon fiber reinforcing plastic (CFRP) to the synthetic material of carbon fiber -reinforced thermoplastic polymers (CFRTP). The new material is an improved version of CFRP because it can be shaped and processed after shaping, producing faster, better impact resistance, recyclable and re -casting, cheaper processing costs.

The future passenger aircraft will also apply more digital techniques with highly connected and automated systems, capable of instant updates and data processing faster. In addition, new automatic support systems will make the flight safer, supporting pilots to handle complex tasks that are less likely to be distracted.

Airbus improvements are set to redefine air transport, making this field more efficient, sustainable and smarter. From the aircraft inspired by nature to digital automation, the company is shaping the next generation of aircraft, making future flights cleaner, quiet and more costly.
