Riftbound, the League of Legends card game debuts this year in China

Riot Games has officially revealed “Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game”, previously known as Project K, marking the entry of the iconic League of Legends universe in the world of collectible card games. The expected debut is set for the summer of 2025 in China, thanks to the collaboration with Shining Soul, while the English -speaking countries will have to wait October of the same year, with UVS Games in charge of distribution. Further regional launches are scheduled for 2026

The launch set, “Origins”, will introduce over 300 different cards, with pre -established bouquets ready for use, called Champion Decks, consisting of 56 cards each, and introductory sets such as “Proving Grounds”, designed to accommodate the new players. 14 cards expansion envelopes will also be available to customize and enhance the decks. Riot Games expressed profound gratitude for the enthusiasm of the community, underlining the importance of players’ feedback in the development process. The company has made changes to the design of the game and conducted further Playtest to ensure optimal gaming experience. During the year, the players will have the opportunity to try “Riftbound” in preview during events organized by Riot Games and in the world of board games. The design of the cards and the game mechanics are still in the development phase, promising a continuously evolving game experience.
