Opera integrates the IA for the management of cards in the Opera One browser

Opera, a Norwegian company operating in the browser sector, has integrated tab AI controls in its opera One product, extending the application of artificial intelligence beyond the traditional chat interface. This new functionality allows users to manage the cards open in the browser via natural language controls. The interaction with air, integrated artificial intelligence takes place through the browser command line, accessible via keyboard shortcuts, or via the contextual menu of the cards. Users can give controls to organize cards, for example by grouping them by topic or closing specific cards, simplifying the management of a high number of open cards.

The management of cards via voice controls offers an alternative to the manual organization, particularly useful in situations of high load of cards. The implementation of Tab AI commands was developed in compliance with the user’s privacy: the data relating to the cards remain in the user’s device, while the servers are only sent the prompt provided. Opera underlines the evolution of the management of the cards, functionality introduced 25 years ago, and its role in the innovation of the sector. In addition to the Tab AI commands, further implementations of functionality to the Opera One, Opera GX and Opera Air are planned, including improvements to the writing mode, optimization of air responses for specific thematic areas and the possibility of interacting with air directly from the browser cards.
