Microsoft has updated Copilot to be a more personal assistant based on new capabilities and functions that will allow you to conduct deep investigation, facilitate the explanation on a topic in Pódcast format and seek information in the real world with the mobile camera.

The technology company no longer wants Copilot to be a simple artificial intelligence partner, but the partner for each of the users, “designed according to individual needs, values ​​and expectations.”

To achieve this, Microsoft has updated Copilot with new capabilities, such as memory, for which you can “remember” user details and preferences, which you then use to offer recommendations, reminders and personalized solutions, as explained in its official blog.

And although for the moment it is only an idea, Copilot may have an appearance, modeled by the user, so that the interaction with the assistant is “fun.”

New functions

Copilot has integrated deep research, a way of “performing complex research tasks of several steps more efficiently, saving time”, and the search for co -ilot has been introduced in Bing, with which “compares information from multiple sites to offer detailed and complete responses”, with sources mentioned and suggestions.

Copilot is multimodal and a sample of this is the Vision tool, a function that offers results based on the content shown on the Edge browser screen. Microsoft began the tests at the end of last year, and has now announced its extension to mobiles and Windows.

In mobile phones, you will use the device camera for “interactive experience with the real world” from real -time video or photographs stored on the device. With regard to Windows, Copilot will see the applications, browser tabs and files that the user is working.

Copilot will also generate Pódcast, in the Google Overview Audio style, to offer personalized audio content in which a topic is explained or a comparison of options is offered, for example, on a travel plan. Admits user interaction with co -pilot while listening.
