Huawei reinforces its commitment to a smarter and more sustainable Europe at Huawei Connect Europe 2025

Huawei has reaffirmed its commitment to a More sustainable and intelligent Europe, bringing to debate the perspectives on strategies for the technological future in the tenth edition of the Huawei Connect Europe en Madrid, where he has accentuated the speed with which “the smart world” is approaching, with 5G, green energy and AI as the main drivers.

The event, which was held under the motto ‘All Intelligence, Greener Europe’has established itself as a key meeting point for experts, sector leaders and company partners, who have analyzed the role of AI and the most advanced technologies in Europe’s digital and ecological transformation.

In this sense, the executive director of the Huawei Board of Directors, David Wang, highlighted during his speech how the smart world is approaching faster than ever imagined, referring to technologies such as AI, 5G and green energywhich “will change education, healthcare, finance, manufacturing and every other sector.”

As he explained, this is because these technologies will create “countless opportunities for growth,” by having the ability to transform business logic, as well as service models and value chains in their entirety.

All of this will be displayed in results such as, as he has assured, in a period of In five years, AI alone will be able to contribute $22.3 trillion to the global economy (around 19.1 billion euros at the exchange rate).

Following this line, the manager has also highlighted that the next decade “will be crucial” for the double digital and ecological transformation of Europe and that, during that time, Huawei will remain committed to remaining “in Europe, for Europe.”

In this regard, it should be noted that Huawei has the support of a network of R&D centers, innovation laboratories, factories and platforms logistics hosted in Europe, which aims to “drive innovation and localization” to help its European customers go digital and be greener.

“Together with its partners in Europe, Huawei is committed to turning this shared vision into an opportunity, and this opportunity into constant growth, to achieve a fully intelligent and more sustainable Europe“, the company detailed in a statement.

A SMARTER AND SUSTAINABLE EUROPE

Also participating during the meeting was the vice president and president of Huawei’s Business Sales Unit, Leo Chen, who put on the table the commitment of the Chinese technology company to “support the digital and intelligent transformation of the continent through investment in technological innovation, partner ecosystems and talent development”.

In this context, Chen referred to Huawei’s launch of technological products and solutions in Europe to help companies build “their own digital infrastructure.” It is the case of intelligence solutions for SMEs Huawei eKit 4+10+N.

These solutions make it easier for SMEs to adopt new technologies, focusing mainly on four scenarios, such as office intelligent, the business intelligent, the education intelligent and health intelligent.

In addition to all this, Huawei has also announced the SHAPE 2.0 solution, designed to improve collaboration with local partners in Europe with an enhanced version of the SHAPE collaboration framework, launched last year.

The technology company has also published the partner alliance development plan, so that its distribution channel can offer “better, scenario-based solutions and services to its customers.”

Finally, Huawei has added how, in terms of talent developmentha collaborated with universities and partners to promote digital training and “creating value for local communities.” These projects have been carried out through Huawei ICT Academies, as well as joint laboratories and certification programs.

Huawei Connect Europe 2025 has brought together guests from various organizations, who have also shared their perspectives on Europe’s technological future. Specifically, personalities such as the Secretary General of Telecommunications and Regulation of Audiovisual Communication Services of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Function of the Government of Spain, Matías González Martín, attended; ETSI Chief Strategy Officer Ultan Mulligan; the director of IT at the Essen University Hospital, Armin de Greiff; and Azerion’s Strategy Director, Sebastiaan Moesman.
