Xiaomi records revenue growth, for the first time cars have brought them profit

Xiaomi achieved record revenues and significant profit growth in the third quarter of 2025, according to unaudited financial results published by the company. Total revenues amounted to 113.1 billion RMB, which is approximately 13.8 billion euros, with a growth of 22.3 percent on an annual basis. Adjusted net profit increased to 11.3 billion RMB, or about 1.38 billion euros, which represents a growth of 80.9 percent.

In the first nine months of 2025, Xiaomi generated revenues of RMB 340.4 billion (about EUR 41.5 billion), while adjusted net profit was RMB 32.8 billion (about EUR 4 billion).

Smart electric vehicles

The segment of smart electric vehicles, artificial intelligence and new business initiatives continued its accelerated growth. In the third quarter, revenues increased to RMB 29 billion, or about EUR 3.5 billion, and for the first time a positive operating result of RMB 0.7 billion (about EUR 85 million) was achieved. Vehicle deliveries reached 108,796 units, while in the first nine months they exceeded 260,000 units.

The Xiaomi YU7 model was the best-selling model in the segment of medium-sized and large SUVs for three months in a row, and in October it became the best-selling SUV in China in all categories.

Smart phones

Revenues from the sale of smartphones amounted to 46 billion RMB (about 5.6 billion euros), and global shipments amounted to 43.3 million devices. According to Omdia data, Xiaomi retained the third place in the world market for the ninth consecutive quarter, with a share of 13.6 percent. In China, it is in second place with a share of 16.7 percent.

The new premium series Xiaomi 17 achieved a better initial result than the previous generation, with approximately 30 percent more initial sales.

IoT and consumer electronics

The segment of IoT devices and consumer electronics achieved revenues of 27.6 billion RMB, or about 3.4 billion euros, with a growth of 5.6 percent. The number of connected IoT devices on the Xiaomi AIoT platform grew to 1.035 billion, while the number of users with five or more connected devices reached 21.6 million.

The company also opened the first Xiaomi Smart Home Appliance Factory, with the capacity to produce up to seven million air conditioners per year.

Internet services

Internet service revenues amounted to 9.4 billion RMB (about 1.15 billion euros), with annual growth of 10.8 percent. The global number of monthly active users increased to 741.7 million, while the Xiaomi Home application reached 114.6 million users.

Investments in research and development

In the third quarter, Xiaomi invested 9.1 billion RMB in research and development, or about 1.11 billion euros, which is a growth of 52.1 percent compared to the previous year. Total R&D investments in the first nine months amounted to RMB 23.5 billion, and the number of employees in that area reached 24,871.

The company also presented new models in the field of artificial intelligence, including the large voice model Xiaomi-MiMo-Audio and the smart home concept Xiaomi Miloco. The HyperOS 3 operating system was also launched, intended for a wide range of Xiaomi devices, from smartphones to electric vehicles.
