Southeast Asia’s leading security solution

Radar EDR anti-malware product is the only representative of Southeast Asia to be on the list of Microsoft Windows compatible security solutions.

In the list of compatible security software providers for Windows users, announced by Microsoft on December 1, CyRadar company’s CyRadar EDR is in the top 8 along with products from long-standing global brands such as Norton, McAfee or Avira.

Microsoft updates the list every year with its own set of criteria. Vendors must demonstrate deep compatibility with Windows operating systems through compliance with API and Kernel Mode Drivers requirements, as well as passing tests related to system performance and stability. Microsoft only recognizes products with quality certification from independent international laboratories and maintains a very low false discovery rate to ensure user experience.

This year, Microsoft’s set of criteria also changed in the direction of shortening the number of suppliers to increase quality. Last year, the company listed 15 suppliers and CyRadar was also named, while this year it was reduced to 8 suppliers. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, founder and CEO of CyRadar, the reduction in number shows the trend of tightening global assessment standards. In that context, the fact that a Vietnamese enterprise maintains its position helps affirm its international competitiveness and the potential of the domestic cybersecurity industry to be able to compete with leading suppliers.

CyRadar was established in 2017, invested and developed by FPT Group, positioning itself as a new generation network security solution provider, focusing on early detection and prevention of threats in the systems of businesses and state agencies. The company’s technology allows identifying unusual signs at the terminal, early warning of attack risks and protection against malicious code spread via the Internet, email or sophisticated online fraud techniques.

Over the past two years, CyRadar has upgraded its products to enhance active defense and closely follow the actual sequence of attack actions. The company integrates machine learning and behavioral analysis models to detect sophisticated forms of attack such as polymorphic malware or fileless attacks. Particularly, CyRadar EDR is fine-tuned to be completely synchronized with the MITER ATT&CK framework – the tactics and techniques of cyber threat actors based on actual observations – thereby covering and preventing the techniques hackers are using.

CyRadar EDR currently protects more than 8,000 workstations at domestic agencies and businesses. Many organizations deploy products on thousands of devices, including a number of provincial units in Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc or Medlatec medical system, which are assessed to operate stably in environments with high security requirements and large scale. The company’s security solutions have also detected more than 50 million unusual files and paths, and have been introduced in many markets such as the UK, France, US, Korea and Japan.
