Netflix will launch the new FIFA video game before the 2026 World Cup

The new 2026 World Cup video game will be in charge of Netflix, as confirmed by FIFA today. Subscribers to the platform will be able to enjoy this edition through Netflix Games.

Netflix subscribers will be able to experience the excitement of competition in the most fun and natural way possible: with a video game in which everyone can participate. This video game, developed and published by Delphi Interactive, will be available to all fans, who can play alone or with friends. It will be enough to have an account Netflix and a mobile device.

“The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the cultural event of the year. With this video game, fans will be able to feel the emotion of the competition from home,” said Alain Tascan, president of Netflix Games. He also assured that they seek to return “to the origins of football by offering a game that everyone can enjoy with the push of a button.”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino added: “It is a great pleasure for FIFA to collaborate with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive in the prelude to the FIFA World Cup 2026. This important collaboration is a fundamental development in FIFA’s commitment to innovation in football video games, which seeks to reach millions of fans of all ages and all corners of the world. This new version will completely change the concept of sports simulator and will mark the beginning of a new era for football video games. The game will be available to Netflix subscribers at no additional cost and represents a historic step for FIFA.”

Meanwhile, Casper Daugaard, founder and CEO of Delphi Interactive, stated that “football is the most popular sport in the world” and that it has been an honor for the firm to work with the new generation of fans.

“Our goal is clear: that the new FIFA is the most fun, accessible and international soccer video game in history,” he said.

For his part, Andy Kleinman, president of Delphi Interactive, added that “Delphi, in collaboration with FIFA and Netflix Games, is developing a video game in which everyone can participate, from all corners of the planet.”

The new FIFA will be incorporated into the catalog of this service that Netflix has recently published. Subscribers to the platform can access this offer, in addition to their favorite series and movies, from their televisions, using their mobile devices as a remote control.
