OpenAI allows users to adjust the “emotional tone” of ChatGPT: more enthusiasm, more warmth… or less of everything

OpenAI has updated its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant ChatGPT with new options to adjust the tone of your responses so that, in addition to configuring their personality, users will be able to decide whether increase or decrease issues such as enthusiasm, warmth or the use of ’emojis’.

The artificial intelligence company recently launched its new model GPT-5.2which adds accuracy and reliability improvements in your answers for professional use of AIin addition to ensuring fewer hallucinations and greater protection for mental health.

Along with these new features, the company has now introduced new options to improve the tone of the responses offered by the model and, with it, the personality of ChatGPT, so that it adjusts to the needs of each user.

Thus, to the usual personality options that users can choose from, which include friendly, efficient, nerdy, sincere or professional, new characteristics of ‘warm’ or ‘enthusiastic’ are added, to which the degree of use can be adjusted.

That is, users can decide if they want the ‘chatbot’ adopt “more” or “less” these personality traits, or maintain the default behavior in its responses, as OpenAI has detailed in a publication on the X social network.

These new features are available in the chatbot’s personalization settings menu, where you can also adjust the use of other features in the responses, such as increasing or decreasing the use of ’emojis’ or headers and lists.

With all this, they are adjustments with which the company intends to offer more options to ensure that the behavior of the ‘chatbot’ adjusts to the users, with the idea of offering more optimal results based on their tastes.
