Huawei promotes green energy ecosystem for industrial parks

The event “Vietnam Smart Green Industrial Park under DPPA” was held at the Park Hyatt Saigon hotel by Huawei Digital Power, bringing together leaders, industry associations, energy experts and businesses in the field of industry and renewable energy.

The event focused on discussing the role of Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and smart inverters in developing energy solutions for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector in Vietnam.

In the shifting context of the energy industry, the DPPA (Direct Power Purchase Agreement) model and energy storage technology are considered important driving forces, helping businesses proactively source electricity, optimize operating costs and improve investment efficiency. Accordingly, BESS supports load balancing, improves system stability and creates opportunities for C&I businesses to achieve sustainable development goals and reduce carbon emissions.

The program opened with speeches from Mr. Jason Wu – CEO of Huawei SEAMC Digital Power and Dr. Mai Duy Thien, Chairman of the Vietnam Clean Energy Association (VCEA). The statements emphasized public-private cooperation, technological innovation and policy frameworks in promoting green energy ecosystems for Vietnam’s industrial parks.

The presentation session “DPPA – The key to unlocking capital flows into solar power and storage systems” shared by Mr. Tran Huynh Ngoc (D.Eng), Deputy Director of the Training, Research and Development Center – PECC2, brought a perspective on policies, investment potential and financial opportunities for C&I businesses.

Mr. Mike Yu – Senior Technical Expert of TÜV Rheinland Greater China analyzed global production trends and requirements for using renewable energy in the supply chain, showing that the transition to green energy is a key competitive factor for businesses. He also shared the results of testing Huawei’s SUN2000-150K-MG0 inverter compared to other brands on the market.

During the event, Mr. Helei – President of C&I and Residential Business Department in APAC region of Huawei Digital Power shared the vision of building a safe and sustainable C&I solar power ecosystem with technology, safety standards and long-term operation capabilities playing a core role.

Huawei Digital Power Vietnam representative introduced the latest C&I solar power technologies, along with flexible business models and financial mechanisms, helping to optimize energy costs and improve ROI for businesses. Mr. Dean Lee – Vice President of Viet Sang Renewable Energy Company shared practical projects applying energy storage systems for industrial parks, proving the economic efficiency and long-term value that BESS brings.

The important highlight is the cooperation signing ceremony between Huawei Digital Power and Tay Do Steel Company, with the participation of Mr. Huynh Trung Quang, General Director of Tay Do Steel and Mr. Jason Wu, CEO of Huawei SEAMC Digital Power. This cooperation agreement commits to deploying solar power and energy storage solutions to reduce emissions, optimize energy costs and improve long-term competitiveness for businesses.

According to the Organizing Committee, the event is a forum for sharing knowledge, connecting policies, technology and businesses towards building smart, green and sustainable industrial parks in Vietnam. “The participation of leaders, experts and pioneering businesses has affirmed the important role of BESS and C&I solar power in the national energy development strategy,” said a representative of the Organizing Committee.
