The new Xiaomi 17 Ultra continues to focus on professional photography and incorporates a 6,800 mAh battery

Xiaomi has presented its new flagship smartphone Xiaomi 17 Ultra, that integrates its highest capacity battery with up to 6.800 mAh and continues to focus on high-quality photography thanks to its camera developed with Leicaall driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

After the launch of the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in September, the technology company has unveiled the characteristics of its new Ultra device at a presentation event held in Beijing (China), where it has revealed its continued Commits to professional photography and autonomy.

In this sense, the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a design in which the round camera module and large in size at the back, accompanied by straight lines for the edges and rounded corners.

Specifically, with a 8.3 millimeter thick body and a weight of 227 grams, has been shown in the colors black, white, purple and dark green, the latter with a glossy finish on the back.

For its part, Xiaomi has highlighted the photographic capabilities of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which has a rear camera developed by Leica and composed of a 1-inch 50MP Light Fusion 1050Ls main sensor with f/1.63 aperture and OIS stabilization.

Along with this, it integrates a lens 50 MP ultra wide angle and aperture f/2.2 and a 200 MP telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture, which covers focal lengths ranging from 75mm to 400mm digitally. For its part, the front camera is 50 MP.

The battery is another aspect that the firm has highlighted, by having a capacity of 6,800 mAh, thus ensuring great autonomy as it is the largest in the company. In addition, it also includes 90W fast charging and 80W wireless charging, along with 22.5W wired reverse charging and 20W wireless reverse charging options.

All of this is powered by the Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, that offers high performance when managing tasks and is complemented by a RAM memory LPDDR5X 12 or 16 GB and with a storage UFS 4.1 512 GB o 1 TB of capacity.

Likewise, regarding the operating system, the new Ultra uses Xiaomi HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, which offers functions such as mirroring with other devices, as well as advanced connection with Apple smartphones, among other tools.

Likewise, it also integrates Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, as well as WiFi 7 and support with satellite communication. With all this, it has been launched in China from 6,999 yuan (around 845.68 euros at the exchange rate). In addition, a new version of Xiaomi 17 Ultra signed by Leica.

However, the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra flagship is expected to be presented globally within the framework of the technological event Mobile World Congress (MWC) en Barcelona.
