Xiaomi has presented its new flagship smartphone Xiaomi 17 Ultrawhich integrates its largest capacity battery with up to 6,800 mAh and continues to focus on high-quality photography thanks to its camera developed with Leica, all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

After the launch of the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in September, the technology company has unveiled the characteristics of its new Ultra device at a presentation event held in Beijing (China), where it has revealed its continued commitment to professional photography and autonomy.

In this sense, the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a design in which the large, round camera module on the back continues to stand out, accompanied by straight lines for the edges and rounded corners.

Specifically, with a body 8.3 millimeters thick and a weight of 227 grams, it has been shown in black, white, violet and dark green, the latter with a glossy finish on the back.

Its 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen has a resolution of 2,608 x 1,200 and 422 PPI, it also reaches a maximum peak brightness of 3,500 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and is also compatible with Dolby Vision.

For its part, Xiaomi has highlighted the photographic capabilities of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which has a rear camera developed by Leica and composed of a one-inch, 50 MP Light Fusion 1050Ls main sensor with f/1.63 aperture and OIS stabilization.

Along with this, it integrates a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 200 MP telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture, which covers focal lengths ranging from 75mm to 400 mm digitally. For its part, the front camera is 50 MP.

The battery is another aspect that the firm has highlighted, as it has a capacity of 6,800 mAh, which ensures great autonomy as it is the largest of the company. In addition, it also includes 90W fast charging and 80W wireless charging, along with 22.5W wired reverse charging and 20W wireless reverse charging options.

All of this is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which offers high performance when managing tasks and is complemented by 12 or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage capacity.

Likewise, in terms of the operating system, the new Ultra uses Xiaomi HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, which offers functions such as mirroring with other devices, as well as advanced connection with Apple smartphones, among other tools.

Likewise, it also integrates Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, as well as WiFi 7 and support for satellite communication. With all this, it has been launched in China for 6,999 yuan (around 845.68 euros at the exchange rate). In addition, a new version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra signed by Leica has also been presented.

However, the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra flagship is expected to be presented globally within the framework of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) technology event in Barcelona.
