The world’s largest technology exhibition CES will open this week in Las Vegas. Samsung managed to present already on the first night, even before the exhibition officially opened, its new television that comes with Micro RGB technology, which of course offers an upgraded image quality, alongside a huge size of 130 inches and a premium design. Samsung says that this is the first television in the world that comes with this technology and this size.
The model called R95H is defined by the company in the category of ultra-premium screens and not just premium, so we expect to find it priced accordingly (Samsung did not specify a price).
Televisions that come in sizes of 130 inches have a significant presence in the living room and are therefore designed differently from the screens we are used to finding in electrical stores. The R95H includes a stand that wraps around it and gives it the appearance of an art piece and less of a TV. Samsung defines this design as “an all-encompassing and enveloping window, which visually expands the space.” To keep this look with the slim frame, Samsung integrated the speakers inside the screen frame.
Samsung Micro RGB: natural colors and the improvement of faded colors
The Micro RGB technology combines several capabilities of Samsung to improve the image, such as the use of red, green and blue LEDs, each of which works as a separate unit that provides the color in its most natural and clean form. Of course, there is also an artificial intelligence engine – Micro RGB AI Pro, which allows the screen to revive faded tones and deepen the contrast, so that the resulting image has richer colors, higher sharpness with better detail in both bright and dark scenes. The result is an image that is faithful to reality.
Samsung incorporates here a new image technology called HDR 10+ Advanced, which continues the technology that exists today in various streaming services – HDR 10 (technology that shows a higher contrast between dark and light areas and a wide and rich color range). The Advanced technology is not only intended for the Micro RGB model and it will reach other models of the 2026 series. It will start working in the streaming service – Amazon Prime Video in some of the content it offers for viewing.
Another technology present in the R95H is Glare Free, which Samsung already uses in other models. This is a very successful technology, which manages to reduce reflections even in a sunny room, when the colors continue to be sharp and rich, without difficulty viewing the screen.
