Amazon joins the televisions that simulate paintings and updates the Fire TV interface

Amazon has presented a series of new features in the CES 2026 from Las Vegas (United States), from a television that simulates a painting to the update of the Fire TV interface to improve its performance.

The new television Amazon Ember Artline has attracted attention for its unique structure, similar to a painting with a customizable magnetic frame. It is a 4K QLED model compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, WiFi 6 and a slim 1.5-inch design.

In a statement, Amazon presents it as a television “Lifestyle designed for any room.” As its name suggests, it is focused on art and has a matte screen designed so that photos and more 2,000 free works of art included, can be seen in any lighting condition.

Beyond its aesthetics, the Amazon Ember Artline also has artificial intelligence incorporated. Includes long-range microphones so the user can talk with Alexa+ naturally, and Omnisense technology which automatically activates and deactivates the ‘Ambient Experience’ when people enter or leave the room.

This type of television is a response to The Frame, Samsung’s ‘smart TV’, presented in 2017, whose main novelty was to display artistic pieces when it was turned off. Recently, LG has also joined this trend with LG Gallery TV.

FIRE TV INTERFACE UPDATE

Another novelty that Amazon has presented has been the Fire TV interface update. Now users will be able to find content faster thanks to the incorporation of Alexa+, that will recommend content in a personalized way through a conversation.

Amazon has described the new interface as “cleaner, faster and better organized”featuring a more modern design with improved layouts, rounded corners, redesigned color gradients, updated typography, and optimized spacing.

Regarding the technical aspects, Amazon has redesigned the code behind to optimize the user experience, with speed improvements of up to 20-30% when using the new interface in some cases. All of these improvements will be available to customers via a free software update, they announced.

NEW REDESIGNED APP

The Fire TV mobile app has also been updated to be more than a controller. The new app lets you browse content, manage your favorites list, and play titles on your TV, all with an interface that matches the new Fire TV design.

Now you can use your phone as a second screen to discover what to watch next or add a recommendation to your favorites list when you’re out and about. The Fire TV mobile app will be available for free download.

WHEN WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE

New Fire TV UI and mobile app set to launch starting in february on Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd generation) and Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series in the United States.

Amazon plans to expand countries and devices in spring, including next-generation Fire TV 4K players and TVs such as Fire TV 2-Series, Fire TV 4-Series, Fire TV Omni QLED Series; televisions manufactured by Hisense, Insignia, Panasonic and TCL.

Regarding the launch of the Amazon Ember Artline television, the company estimates that it may be available at mid-2026 in the United States, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom, although users can register now to receive a notice when it comes out.

The Amazon Ember Artline will be available in sizes 55 to 65 inches from $899including the option to choose one of 10 customizable color frames.
