Global blackout for X and Grok, what happens

Musk’s platform and integrated artificial intelligence have suffered a worldwide outage in both web and app services. Despite a partial recovery, instability and difficulty loading the latest content persist

Friday began with an extensive malfunction that affected X and the virtual assistant Grok, making the services inaccessible to users all over the world. The outage reports recorded a peak in the night between Thursday and Friday, finding confirmation in the cartographic findings of Cisco ThousandEyes, which identified critical issues in over six hundred servers distributed globally. During the early stages of the block, attempts to access the platform’s domains returned Cloudflare-related connection errors or screens devoid of content and posts.

Although the portal began to show signs of recovery about an hour after the incident began, the social network’s operation remains precarious. Browsing continues to be intermittent, alternating moments of normal consultation with error messages that invite you to manually load the page. Difficulties persist in particular in updating news flows and correctly displaying posts published in real time, a sign that the structural problem has not yet been completely resolved. At the moment, no official explanations have been provided regarding the technical causes that triggered the blackout. The company has not yet responded to requests for comment from the specialized press, leaving uncertainty about the underlying reasons for the failure or any external attacks.
