If you go on a trip, remember not to make these mistakes for your aquatic photos

One of the trends in travel is underwater photography. However, some underwater images have notable color and clarity issues.

As reported by Oppo, citing Underwater Image Enhancement Benchmark (UIEB), 6.3% of these photographs have this problem. In addition, they present color degradation, loss of sharpness and low contrast.

In that sense, the Chinese smartphone firm recommends some ways to use the smartphone in this type of photography.

The first thing is to take into account that light has a different behavior in water. It notes that up to 70% of light is lost in just a few meters of depth, which can result in dull underwater photos.

It is also recommended to take certification into account. The IP68 level allows for safe immersion in fresh water, protecting equipment while capturing underwater photos and videos.

The next point is useful at all times, and even more so under water: clean the lens. And even drops of water or dirt on the lens cause stains, partial blurring or color distortion in underwater photos. This is something that is repeated in more than 55% of cases of low quality images reported by amateurs.

Finally, you must never forget to remove water from the equipment. That is, don’t trust tricks on the internet to get water out of the speaker. In the case of OPPO smartphones, this cleaning is done automatically when using Underwater mode, helping to maintain the proper functioning of the device without extra steps.
