Social networks and forums were ablaze with comments. “Have we fallen asleep to watching robots instead of people?” and “We’ve hit rock bottom. They’ve completely destroyed authenticity!” were just some of the comments from viewers. However, there was also a part of the audience that was intrigued by the innovation.
Robot Toša is presented as the main star of this technological experiment. With an IQ of 212, this humanoid robot is able to run and walk continuously for 12 kilometers, and Mitrović announced that he would learn to dance and box. Toša is not an ordinary ‘machine’ – he is programmed to know everything about every contestant of the show and collects information from the Internet every five seconds.
His ‘brother from the village’ Goša has a somewhat different role in the production. While Toša will be an equal competitor who will not fight for the main prize, Goša will be part of the production team. Mitrović explained that “blood is not water” and that the two men are incredibly similar, and he especially emphasized their talent for dancing.
