Honor Magic8 Lite: autonomy for 3 days, high resistance to falls and 108 MP camera

This latest addition to its 8 Series range has been designed to offer high durability and resistance to withstand the daily life of users, as well as advanced photographic capabilities, combined with a lightweight design and improved performance, in order to advance mid-range performance.

In this sense, the new Honor Magic8 Lite has a design with rounded corners and metallic finishes, as well as a back part available in green, black and maroon colors, the latter with a material that imitates leather.

Following this line, it has a rear camera module that, like the previous model, collects the cameras in a circular shape, also with metallic finishes. In the case of the garnet model, these finishes are gold.

Beyond aesthetics, the design of the new smartphone ensures high resistance to falls, water and dust, as it has the first SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance certification in the sector. This certification joins the one already available in the previous range SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification, which guarantees resistance to falls from heights of up to 2.5 meters on certain surfaces.

In addition, it has a reinforced structure with HONOR Ultra-Bounce anti-fall technology, as well as non-Newtonian fluid and a new ultra-resistant tempered glass, which protects the screen against falls on 10 different types of stone surfaces, even withstanding shots with compressed air guns.

Likewise, it is also equipped with a three-layer waterproof structure 2.0 compatible with IP68 and IP69K. With this, it offers high waterproofness, allowing it to be used in complex aquatic environments, including dirty water or high temperature water for 10 seconds. It also ensures its use in water at a depth of 1.5 meters for a maximum of half an hour.

All these resistance features add to its high durability, with a 7,500 mAh silicon and carbon battery, which provides longer life along with an anti-aging algorithm that extends its durability up to 6 years. It also has 66W fast charging.

As a result, Honor has detailed that it has an autonomy of 3 days and can support up to 49.1 hours of music playback, 22.2 hours of online video playback, 15.7 hours of games and 11.4 hours of video chat on a single charge. Additionally, Ultra Power Saving Mode allows you to hold continuous calls for up to an hour when the battery drops to 2 percent.

Regarding photography, the new Honor Magic8 Lite is equipped with an ultra-sensitive 108 MP camera, with a 1/1.67-inch sensor, so that it captures images with high detail and improved brightness, as well as with better nighttime precision, as the firm has assured. Likewise, this sensor is equipped with OIS + EIS stabilization.

When sharing photos, it allows you to transfer HD motion photos between iOS devices, as well as make 4K HD motion photo collages. Added to all this are camera and editing features powered by artificial intelligence (AI), such as AI Eraser, AI Crop and AI Image Expansion, AI Enhance and AI Remove Reflections.

On the other hand, for the viewing experience, the Honor Magic8 Lite features a 6.79-inch OLED display supporting 1.07 billion colors and 1.5K resolution, offering vibrant tones and high detail. In addition, it ensures a fluid experience by reaching a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a maximum HDR brightness of 6,000 nits.

This display features narrow 1.3mm bezels, delivering a 94.6 percent screen-to-body ratio for an immersive experience. Honor has also highlighted its eye protection features such as 3840Hz PWM risk-free dimming, circadian night display, AI blur display, dynamic dimming, and low blue light hardware level.

All of this is powered by the power of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, which offers a high level of system fluidity and graphical performance. As Honor has noted, this is due to a 29 percent improved GPU performance and an 11 percent improvement in the CPU.

At the same time, it features Honor’s Turbo RAM technology, which effectively provides an experience equivalent to 16 GB of RAM, for smooth performance, along with ample internal storage of up to 512 GB.

All in all, the new Honor Magic8 Lite is available for purchase in Spain for 399 euros for 256 GB and for 429 euros for 512 GB of memory.
