AccuLine Company: AI diagnosis for heart attack risk with 94% accuracy in a clinical trial

AccuLine’s clinical research was conducted in seven medical centers in Israel: Ichilov Tel Aviv, Furia Tiberias, Assuta Tel Aviv, Shamir (Asaf Harofeh), Wolfson Holon, Assuta Ashdod and Hillel-Yefa in Hadera.

According to the results of the study, which was conducted among 305 subjects and compared to the catheterization test (Gold Standard), the system presented a sensitivity of 94% in identifying patients and an accuracy of 99% in ruling out the disease (NPV). This is a significant improvement compared to the stress tests currently accepted in the community.

Beyond saving lives, technology has the potential to change the economic equation in the cardiology industry, which is responsible for spending hundreds of billions of dollars a year. The use of CORA may save huge costs for health systems and insurance companies by preventing expensive tests and complex rehabilitation treatments after a heart attack.

AccuLine has raised about 5.5 million dollars to date under the leadership of the eHealth Ventures fund and Maccabi Health Services. This amount includes two grants from the Innovation Authority and a grant from Google. The company also raised capital from the Mayo Clinic and signed a cooperation agreement with it to develop the CORA system.

The company is currently preparing for an extensive clinical trial in 20 medical centers in the US. This trial, which will include approximately 2,000 patients, will be an important step towards receiving FDA approval and introducing the system to the world market.
