Perplexity brings together a Council of AI models to offer more precise combined response to users

Perplexity has changed the way users ensure their question is answered by the most appropriate model with a Council that brings together up to three models to provide a single combined answer.

He Model Council is a new feature within the Perplexity chatbot that automatically brings together three models available –for example, Claude Opus 4.6, GPT 5.2 and Gemini 3.0– to simultaneously execute the question raised by the user.

A synthesizing model collects the answers given by the three models, to finally offer a single answerin which the possible conflicts that may arise between them have already been resolved and in which the the points on which they agree and on which they differ.

This novelty finds its reason in that “Every AI model has blind spots,” as they explain from Perplexity. “It can ignore context, lean towards certain perspectives or fill in gaps with reliable conjectures. For the research on which it is based, it poses a great risk,” he says.

The users no longer need to manually toggle between models to check the answers offered by each of them. On the contrary, multiple models attend to the same query simultaneously, to offer a combined response.

Perplexity sees this as an advantage in research. “When models converge, you can move faster and more confidently; when they disagree, you know you need to dig deeper.”

The Model Council is available to subscribers of Perplexity Max on the web, and will soon reach the mobile application.
