According to the latest report of the analytics company Omdia, in 2025, Honor recorded a growth in shipments of about eleven percent, which is the highest growth rate among the ten leading global manufacturers. This success is the result of strategic expansion into global markets, especially outside of China, and a focus on innovation in key areas such as artificial intelligence, camera quality and battery technology. Premium models such as the foldable Honor Magic V5 and the Magic 8 Pro series, as well as strong demand in the middle price range, contributed significantly to the success. With this growth, Honor became the only major Chinese brand with such a strong result, while competitors such as Oppo and Xiaomi recorded a decline of three and two percent, respectively.

The market has recovered, Apple and Samsung hold the top

The overall smartphone market grew by two percent last year, with a total of 1.25 billion devices shipped, which is the highest volume since 2021. Well-known names are still at the top. Apple maintained its leading position for the third year in a row, delivering a record 240.6 million iPhones, which represents a growth of seven percent, mostly thanks to the strong demand for the iPhone 17 series. Just behind it is Samsung, which after a three-year decline returned to the path of success with an identical growth of seven percent, driven by with the sale of the Galaxy S25 series and the improved folding model Z Fold 7. Xiaomi defended the third place despite the fact that slight decline, while vivo for the first time took čfourth position with a growth of čfour percent.

Success in the premium segment and a view towards the future

Honor’s success is no accident. IDC data show that in the first three quarters of 2025, the company led the growth of shipments on foreign markets in the segment of devices more expensive than 300 US dollars. The same trend was noted in the market of tablets in the price range of 300 to 600 dollars.
