Sony previews a ‘remake’ of the God of War trilogy and a John Wick game for PlayStation 5 in the State of Play

Sony celebrated this Thursday a new State of Play the event in which it presents the main PlayStation news for 2026, among which the remastering of the God of War trilogy, a John Wick game with Keanu Reeves and a new Castlevania title stand out.

The event, which has exceeded the hour of broadcast on YouTube, has been based on a succession of previews and ‘trailers’ of new video games that will come to PlayStation 5, including remasters of emblematic franchises such as GoW or Metal Gear Solid.

God of War fans are celebrating, since in addition to the preview announcing the remastering of the God of War trilogy for PS5also arrives God of War Sons of Spartaa new game in the 2D platform franchise, which launches this Friday, for 29.99 euros.

In addition, Sony has previewed the ‘trailer’ for the second part of the Metal Gear Solid Master collection, which contains the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and the MGS Peace Walkerwhich will arrive on PS5 on October 27.

Among the new titles, the game of John Wickdirected and starring by himself Keanu Reeveswhich will be faithful to the style of the action movie saga. It is now available for pre-order, but a release date has not been announced.

For its part, Konami has shown the progress of the new Castlevania installment in the last twelve years: Castlevania: Belmont’s Cursea 2D platformer set in Paris coming this year.
