Stern produces a pinball machine for the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, in three variants

The commercial offer is divided into three variants with progressive costs, starting from 6,999 dollars for the Pro version up to 12,999 dollars for the Limited Edition, produced in just 750 units globally. In addition to the presence of the original soundtrack and clips taken from the animated series, the machines boast important interactive components, such as Meowth’s hot air balloon that descends into the game arena and an animatronic Pikachu that reacts in real time to the user’s successes. The Premium and Limited Edition models also include an interactive electromagnet designed to increase the ball’s unpredictability during combat sequences.

One of the most significant technical innovations concerns the use of SPIKE 3 technology and the integration with the Insider Connected platform. Thanks to this system, every Pokémon captured during the game is recorded on the user’s digital profile, making progress available via the app. The aesthetic design is studied down to the smallest details, with thematic elements ranging from the Master Ball-shaped launch knob to the dynamic lighting systems reserved for the most exclusive version. With this operation, Stern is firmly targeting the luxury collectibles market, transforming nostalgia for the first Game Boys into an object of high mechanical engineering.
