Škoda got ‘consoles’ on wheels from Enyaq and Elroq

AirConsole has been part of the story since January 2026 and brings a selection of games playing on a large central screen, with sound through the car’s audio system. Launching is simple: you select a game in the infotainment, the system guides you through connecting the mobile phone and the mobile phone takes over the role of a gamepad. Around 15 titles are available at the start, and Škoda announces that the list will expand over time. Among the games are various casual, puzzle, racing and sports titles, and as a special detail, Tetris, which in this version is linked to the Škoda brand, stands out. Some games support multiple mobile phones at once, so you can play multiplayer, which is obviously aimed at the team in the car or parents with children in the back seat.

The second part of the package is the Spotify application in the infotainment itself. The idea is that you don’t have to play music via CarPlay or Android Auto, but log into your account and have everything directly on the car screen, including podcasts. The third application is Škoda Play, designed as video content for watching while you are stationary, again mostly in the scenario of charging or waiting.

For a driver in Croatia, this will make the most sense if you often charge at public charging stations and have a habit of killing 15 to 30 minutes waiting in the car. In practice, it is worth checking whether you have ME4 or newer software and whether the car is ready for these applications, because it will not be the same for all years. And yes, this is another sign that infotainment in cars is increasingly pushing towards the logic of mobile phones, when you’re standing, you turn on the entertainment, when you’re driving, the focus is on driving.
