The end of “Ara”: the WhatsApp revolution that will put order in your life

The new feature works in a simple and intuitive way. By long-pressing the send button, a menu opens that allows you to select an exact date and time. The user can write the message, attach images or files, and schedule their arrival at the destination. The scheduled messages are saved in a dedicated folder at the top of the chat list, where you can edit them, change the time of sending or delete them completely before they are actually sent. This is a dramatic change for people who manage their schedules through the mobile phone, as it allows to create a work sequence without disturbing the other party at unacceptable hours.

One of the most important aspects in this process is the issue of information security. Until now, users who wanted to schedule messages had to download third-party apps that required full access privileges to the message content and contact list. This created a serious security breach and endangered users’ privacy. Implementing this capability natively within the official app ensures that scheduled messages remain end-to-end encrypted, just like any other regular message. In this way, the information does not pass through the servers of other companies and remains protected under WhatsApp’s strict security protocol.

Beyond private use, the new feature is a powerful tool for small and independent business owners who do not use the extended business version. The ability to schedule service messages, appointment reminders or updates to customers in a centralized way once a day improves efficiency considerably. Preliminary data from the beta versions show that using message scheduling increases response rates by at least 30%, because messages reach readers during the hours when they are most available to respond.
