Gemini will act as an autonomous mobile agent to order food or book a taxi

Gemini will soon be a artificial intelligence agent (AI) on mobile with the ability to manage tasks that require several steps to complete and do so in the background, without interrupting the user.

Users will be able to delegate tasks such as book a taxi to return home u reorder a food order for the Gemini assistant to do from your mobile phone.

This is a feature in testing that puts Gemini to work autonomously in the background, to carry out a specific task with a certain complexity, which may require several steps.

The user can supervise the work of the assistant of AI through notifications and even take control or finish completing the task when you see fit.

Google explains on its official blog that this delegation is done safely, since Gemini can only access a limited number of applicationsnot the entire phone, and the ‘app’ needed for the task runs in a secure virtual window on the phone.

Being in testing, Gemini will only be able to use a series of applications, mainly services from the categories of food, supermarket and ride sharing. At the moment, it is available in the United States and South Korea, for Samsung Galaxy S26 and Google Pixel 10 series phones.
