Honor has presented its new smartphone Honor Magic V6, that comes with innovations to redefine folding mobile phones with its renewed silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 6,600 mAh, a profile ultrathin and new productivity features.
The company has unveiled its new folding device at a presentation event held in Barcelona, prior to the opening of the doors of the technology fair Mobile World Congress (MWC), where he will show first-hand his latest innovations not only in smartphones, but also his conceptual photography proposal based on a robotic camera and its first humanoid robot.
These developments are focused on his vision of Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI)framed in its initiative announced in MWC 2025 Honor Alpha Plan, with which it aims to make the definitive leap towards an ecosystem of devices with artificial intelligence (AI) and become a leading company beyond smartphones.
Thus, along with the futuristic innovations, the event has hosted its new ‘smartphone’ Honor Magic V6, which the technology company has defined as “the maximum expression of its commitment to the foldable category.” A terminal that combines advanced technology silicon-carbon battery, display engineering, durability and productivity features powered by AI, in a refined format.
This new model follows the line of its previous generation and, with this, continues to position itself as the thinnest folding on the market, with a thickness of 8.75mm when foldedin addition to being light thanks to its weight of 219 grams.
Thus, its design maintains the lines with rounded corners and an octagonal camera module located in the upper central rear part. Likewise, the structure is reinforced by an architecture of advanced hinge without giving up its thinness. This is because it is manufactured with steel technology Honor Super Steel de 2.800 MPa, one of the most resistant materials in the mobile industry.
Another factor that the technology company has highlighted regarding its design is that, just because it is thin, it does not neglect resistance. It is the only foldable with IP68 and IP69 certifications against dust and waterin addition to having an anti-scratch, anti-wear screen and anti-reflectivethus guaranteeing greater immersion.
Beyond its design, the Magic V6 has a 6.52-inch LTPO 2.0 external screen, with a maximum brightness of 6,000 nits. Likewise, its main screen, once displayed, is 7.95 inchesand maintains the panel LTPO 2.0with which it reaches a maximum brightness of 5.000 nits. Both feature advanced 4,320 Hz PWM dimming and AI Defocus Display to improve visual comfort during prolonged use.
It should be noted that the internal screen is made of ultra-thin flexible glass with SGS Minimized Crease certification, which reduces fold depth by 44 percent compared to the previous generation. Therefore, it offers a more immersive experience, with a flatter surface. In addition, it also has support for use through a digital pen.
In terms of its photographic capabilities, the Magic V6’s camera includes a 64MP telephoto sensor and is driven by its technology AiMAGE Portrait Enginewhich combines lens capabilities with software-level technology to offer realistic results with natural colors.
HIGH PERFORMANCE AND IMPROVED SILICON-CARBON BATTERY
Inside, the foldable smartphone is powered by the power of the processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 which, manufactured with a 3-nanometer process, offers a performance increase of 20 percent on the CPU, 23 percent on the GPU and 37 percent on the NPU for artificial intelligence (AI) tasks.
Along with this processor, the new folding includes a system advanced vapor chamber cooling, thus guaranteeing sustained performance, that is, a fluid experience in games, multitasking and demanding workloads, as the technology company has highlighted.
Additionally, Honor has improved battery of the new Magic V6, which is designed with the technology of fifth generation silicon-carbon of the firm, developed in collaboration with ATL, to “raise the standard of autonomy” in this type of ‘smartphones’.
With this, as the technology company has explained, it is a battery that manages to combine the thinness necessary for folding devices and high energy density to ensure autonomy. Specifically, it is the first to have a 25 percent silicon content.
As a result, the Magic V6 now has expanded capacity to 6.660 mAh. Being one of the batteries with the highest capacity in the foldable smartphone sector, according to the firm.
However, in addition to the innovation represented by the Magic V6 battery, Honor has also announced its next advances in batteries with Silicon-carbon Blade Batterywhich reaches a 32 percent silicon content and exceeds 900 Wh/L.
In this case, Honor assures that it will take the foldables to the 7,000 mAh capacitymarking a new leap in ultra-thin, high-energy-density batteries.
PRODUCTIVITY AND CONNECTIVITY
The new Magic V6 also focuses on productivity and, taking advantage of its large unfolded screen, it has several functions powered by AI to optimize multitaskingcontent creation and communication.
It is the case of AI Meeting Agentwhich offers custom alerts for reminders and multi-device, as well as the tool AI Suggestionfor suggestions through agentic AI that simplify users’ daily lives.
It also includes connectivity functions, Honor has highlighted that the Magic V6 debuts the function OneTap Mac Transferwhich allows you to transfer photos and videos from your smartphone to a Mac computer “with a single touch.” In this way, it expands the versatility of the ecosystem with other devices.
Thus, the Honor Magic V6 has been presented in the red, gold, black and white colorsand will be available during the second semester of this year 2026 in Spainalthough it will be announced with local configurations.
MAGICPAD 4 Y MAGICBOOK PRO 14
Honor’s AI ecosystem is completed with the new MagicPad 4 y MagicBook Pro 14which reinforce their commitment to connected experiences in tablet and laptop formats respectively.
The tablet Honor MagicPad 4 It is the first powered by the processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and stands out for its design 4.8mm ultra-thinbeing “the thinnest tablet in the world”, as the company shared during the event.
Its screen is based on a panel 12.3-inch 3K OLED with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a maximum HDR brightness of 2.400 nits. Thus, it is designed to promote the productivitywith multitasking tools powered by AI and the PC mode when connected to a keyboard. Added to this is that it allows fluid interaction with smartphones and multiplatform environments, including the ecosystem of Apple con Honor Connect.
As for its battery, it has a capacity of 10.100 mAh with fast charging technology Honor SuperCharge de 66W. All in all, it will be available in a version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, in gray and white, starting this month. Monday, March 2 for 699 euros.
For his part, the MagicBook Pro 14 is equipped with a Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor, as well as a 14.6-inch OLED screen with high color accuracy. All this is completed with high autonomy, performance management and ultralight design.
