ZTE presents the Nubia M153 with Dubai’s autonomous AI Assistant and brings out the smart AI mascot iMoochi

ZTE has presented its ‘smartphone’ in Europe nubia M153 equipped with the Native AI Doubao AI Assistant which, developed in conjunction with ByteDance, facilitates the user’s daily life by carrying out any task completely autonomously, in addition to launching its new intelligent and emotional pet AI iMoochi.

Specifically, ZTE has focused on its goal of enhancing interaction between humans and devices through deep integration of AI into hardware, software and ecosystem, which, as the company explained in its presentation event, transforms the capabilities of AI, going “from a mere tool, into a symbiotic and active partner that understands you and grows with you.”

In this framework, ZTE has unveiled its new ‘smartphone’ in Spain nubia M153 which stands out for incorporating AI Doubao AI Assistant. This smartphone was initially launched in China in December, when the technology company defined it as “the true phone with native AI” co-designed between ByteDancethe company that owns the social network TikTok, and nubia.

Specifically, the Doubao AI assistant is integrated at system level and that it has the capabilities to understand complex commands in natural language, either through voice or text commands. Behind this innovation is nubia’s ‘AI Autopilot’ solution, which is based on its ‘All-Native’ technology. With all this, Doubao AI can perform tasks ranging from simple management of multiple applications to automation of large-scale production tasks.

This pet responds and interacts with the user in real time through gestures, sounds, or expressions in its eyes, which have an OLED screen with automatic ambient light adjustment.

Thus, if users pet the pet or call the iMoochi, it will react by moving its head, eyes or tail like an emotional pet. This is accompanied by a design that has a furry, soft texture and expressive eyes, inspired by different animals.

Likewise, to interact with the user, they integrate five touch sensors located between the head, back, nose and paws, as well as microphoneswhich together with generative AI, allows them to offer realistic reactions to touch and sound.
