Apple presents the MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors

Apple has presented the new MacBook Pro laptop 14 and 16 inches powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, which improve the performance and performance of artificial intelligence applications.

The technology firm has presented the M5 Pro and M5 Max processorswhich have been manufactured with the new Fusion architecture developed by Apple, in which two 3-nanometer chips with high bandwidth and low latency are combined in the same system on chip (SoC).

The CPU consists of up to 18 coressix performance cores, called super cores, and another twelve performance cores that are optimized to offer multi-threaded performance with great energy efficiency. Together, the CPU increases performance by up to 30 percent, as detailed by Apple in a press release.

For its part, the GPU goes up to 40 cores. Integra un Neural Accelerator in each core and greater unified memory bandwidth, allowing the two new chips to achieve peak AI performance more than four times higher than the previous generation.

The GPU considerably increases its graphical capabilities (up to 35% higher in ‘apps’ that use ray tracing than the M4 Pro and M4 Max) improving advanced visual effects and 3D rendering.

M5 Pro supports up to 64GB of unified memory and higher memory bandwidth of up to 307GB/s, while M5 Max features up to 128 GB of unified memory and a Higher memory bandwidth up to 614 GB/s.

MACBOOK PRO

Both processors debut with the new MacBook Pro, boosting performance and next-generation artificial intelligence capabilities and making it four times faster than the previous generation. It arrives with the macOS Tahoe operating system and the Apple Intelligence ecosystem.

Available in 14 and 16 inch sizesthis equipment offers up to 24 hours of autonomy on a single charge, which is up to 13 more hours for users of models with an Intel processor and up to three hours more for users of models with the M1.

It has a 96W USB Type-C Adapter or higher with which it recharges up to 50 percent of the battery in 30 minutes with fast charging technology.

Use a Liquid Retina XDR display with nano-textured finish option with 1,600 nits of peak HDR brightness and up to 1,000 nits for SDR content. It also includes a 12MP Center Stage camera with Top-down View and studio-quality microphones.

When it comes to connectivity, MacBook Pro has three Thunderbolt 5 ports for high speed data transfers, HDMI with a resolution up to 8K, SDXC card slot for importing multimedia content and MagSafe 3 for fast charging. In addition to support for WiFi 7 y Bluetooth 6 with Apple’s N1 chip.

The new MacBook Pro will go on sale next March 11. The variants with the M5 Pro chip start at a price of 2,549 euros for the 14-inch, and 3,049 euros for the 16-inch. In the case of the M5 Max variant, it can be found from 4,249 euros with 14 inches, and from 4,549 euros with 16 inches.
